Rural Youth Facing Constraints under the ARYA (Attracting and Retaining Youth in Agriculture) Project in Kaushambi District of Uttar Pradesh

Abstract: Rural Youth play a crucial role in the expected transformation of Indian agriculture. ARYA programme aims to attract individuals under 35 to agriculture by creating income-generating opportunities and promoting it as a viable profession. The responses were initially tallied and converted into a mean percentage score for each statement before ranking. The mean percentage score was calculated by multiplying the total score achieved by respondents by one hundred and then dividing by the maximum possible score for each practice. This study identified several constraints, including inadequate credit facilities in the area, a lack of marketing facilities, high input costs, and difficulties in marketing products. these constraints. Providing the necessary facilities, such as inputs, establishing proper marketing facilities, and offering training on new machinery, will assist beneficiaries in overcoming these constraints.
